BESTeam Feature - Mya Bruce Designs

This week I am featuring Mya Bruce Designs.  Mya has been designing customized photo invitations and announcements for her kids for years, and finally gave in to offering this service for others. She loves working with photos in order to make special occasions more personal. Her images are offered as a high resolution jpg. You send her your photo (if applicable) and the information you want included. Colors and fonts can often be changed if you have a preference. She can adjust to make the image an invitation, an announcement, a Thank you, or just note cards or stationery. She will send you the image for review, and once approved you can purchase and download and print yourself - as many as you need!

BESTeam Feature - Write Owl Designs

This week I have the pleasure of featuring Write Owl Designs.  Write Owl Designs is a new etsy shop featuring supplies and products to spark creativity.  Jean was inspired to write by her mom when she was eight years old.  Her mom took a pack of office paper, a box of crayons, a needle and thread, and some construction and contact paper and made her a book making kit. "You can make your own story," she told me, like the books that came with the American Girl dolls that all the children her age were getting.  That gift changed her life and is why she makes books today and how she became a collector of stories.  Her goal is to give something meaningful back to people, to connect with them, and to encourage them to make their own stories.

She has dabbled in a bit of everything. Her favorite projects are those born from a spark of inspiration that may seem a bit off-kilter at first but transform into something wonderful. She has been known to make lighting instruments from kitchen utensils and wall hangings from (clean) food packaging.

She is a believer in functional beauty, and she hopes that her pieces are used, rather than set out to display and gather dust. Furthermore, she hopes that the pieces she creates inspire another person’s creations.

Here are a few of my favorites that I found while checking out her shop.  I love journals and would love to be talented enough to fill them with amazing writings...but my talents don't seem to want to cooperate with my desires...but these journals just may inspire me to try again to write a masterpiece!  :-)

This Bingo Journal may just be my lucky journal...
Bingo Hardback Journal
Blue things always catch my attention.....
Professor Plum Mustache Coptic Stitch Journal
This Do-It-Yourself Journal Kit is a reminder of the book making kit that was given to Jean when she was 8 years old from her mother...which started the whole adventure!
DIY Coptic Stitch Journal Kit
 And who doesn't love cupcakes?!?!?!
Pink and Brown Cupcake Hardback Journal
This would be a great travel journal....and a good reason to start traveling!
Romantic Vintage Postcard Hardback Journal -- Red Spine
So many adorable journals....and she does custom work too...so if you don't see something in her shop you convo her and she would be happy to work with you to create a journal of your dreams.

BESTeam Feature - Blue Forest Jewellery

Blue Forest Jewellery is run by Alison, who is a jewelery addict! She has been making jewelery for as long as she can remember, mostly adapting pieces she had bought up until a few years ago when it got more serious. She makes things she would like to wear herself so it's often difficult to part with her creations.

Her grandmother was a very creative lady, and she thinks her love of making things came from her. She has tried her hand at all sorts of crafts - making clothes, lace, applique, tapestry, cards etc, but jewelery is her current favorite.

The shop name, Blue Forest Jewellery, comes from the remains of the Forest of Arden in the middle of England where she loves to walk her dog. There are a variety of trees, many very ancient, including silver birches and firs. In the right sunlight, they reflect the lovely blues of the sky and in the spring the deep purply blue of the bluebell carpet.  Her aim is to string semi precious beads in stunning color combination to make statement pieces.

Here are some of my favorite pieces...there are so many to choose from you must check out her shop for yourself.

Orange and yellow agate nugget and leaf charm earrings

Pink Lucite flowers bag purse or mobile phone charm

Stunning gothic red glass bead and gray crystal earrings

Beyond bold acrylic multi color earrings

Handmade green and brown blister freshwater pearl and chain necklace

Handmade berry pink aventurine, rhodonite and plum jade necklace
